HARDI launches a new self-propelled ALPHA 2500i/3000i VariTrack at SIMA 07
HARDI ALPHA VariTrack will be launched at SIMA 2007 in Paris. It is a new advanced self-propelled sprayer from HARDI which helps farmers to realize efficient and responsible plant care.
This machine is available in 2500 and 3000 litres with steel or aluminium boom from 24 to 32 metre. Also the air-assisted HARDI TWIN FORCE concept is available up to 28 metre.
The conception of this machine uses modern technology, and the chassis of this self-propelled sprayer is assembled with high tensile steel (Domex - Swedish quality) by a riveting technology issued from the industrial vehicles. HARDI-EVRARD has received a second world prize for that at the «Swedish Steel Prize 2005».
VariTrack
This machine has a very important innovation called VariTrack. The VariTrack system permits an adjustable track width and it is a versatile solution to adapt the track of the machine for different crops. It is a reel revolution in the agricultural sector. Furthermore, parallelism and diagram steering are automatically conserved when adjusting the track width.
ALPHA VariTrack has got 4 wheels steering and a new efficient mechanical suspension, which gives a comfortable ride and makes the sprayer very manoeuvrable in the fields.
EasyDrive cruise control
For better spraying quality, less diesel consumption, less noise in the cab and easier driving, the EasyDrive cruise control has been developed for the ALPHA series. EasyDrive coordinates the different components of the ALPHA transmission and optimizes speed, torque, acceleration and braking. More over, this can under load select the best gear.
While spraying, the operator simply regulates the driving speed via a single button, and the electronic management takes care of the rest.
Intelligent sprayer modules
The ALPHA 2500i and 3000 i are designed with the HC 6500 controller as standard and can be delivered with the intelligent features AutoWash, AutoFill and AutoAgitation. On top of this the system is available with PrimeFlow, HeadlandAssist and the GPS-based AutoSection control, which automatically prevents overlap spraying and saves chemicals.
All these features are well-known and tested at the HARDI COMMANDER i-series. They give an easier operation, and the sprayer pilot can operate nearly all spray functions from the ALPHA cab.
Large investments
To adapt to the increased demands from our end users, considerable investments have been planned in the areas of more centralized, efficient, and flexible production for HARDI world-wide.
This new self-propelled sprayer is a versatile and efficient machine for large farms or firms working for farmers and is an important step for HARDI’s global product strategy. It is the result of many years of research and development and of the HARDI-EVRARD experience in self-propelled sprayers.
The HARDI knowledge centre and production plant for self-propelled sprayers is located in Beaurainville, France.
In this factory – totalling 200 employees today - the activities within the production of self-propelled sprayers will take place. Consequently, investments in new testing facilities of assembled machines enabling indoor functional test of all machines before delivery.
Increased market share world-wide
HARDI has a large share of the world market for sprayers today. Our ambitions are to obtain an even larger market share not only on the present product and market segments, but also on new areas.
With many new products in the pipeline, investments in production and new market areas, HARDI’s image as “the sprayer specialist” will be further strengthened.
