SIMA 2011 News: 28 meter PRO and Front Tank

HARDI introduces the MASTER plus - an updated tractor mounted sprayer which is top of the range of machines for the farmer who does not want to compromise when high capacity and safe operation are highly demanded.

New 28 meter vertically folded PRO boom 
The MASTER plus will be available with vertically folded PRO booms from 12 to 28 metres. On SIMA, HARDI for the first time shows the new 28 m. The booms are constructed in steel with a lattice design optimizing weight with the greatest possible strength. In transport position, the 28 m is not bigger than the 24 m, due to a specific folding of the outer boom segment the centre of gravity is nearly the same as on the well proven 24 m booms. 

The self-levelling suspension incorporates a heavy duty coil spring to absorb any sudden movements of the boom. An anti-yaw device is incorporated into the boom centre to minimise any movement of the boom. The excellent performance of the PRO boom ensures precision spray applications even in the most challenging of field conditions. 

All boom functions on the PRO boom can be electro–hydraulically operated from a compact, conveniently located control panel. The primary controls, those which are most used in the field, are grouped together for ease of use, such as boom height, independent tilting of either boom section and complete boom slanting.  With all other controls conveniently placed to hand, the MASTER PRO is easy to operate.

New Front Tank – FT 1000 
For bigger lift mounted like the HARDI MASTER plus 1500 and 1800 l, the tractor needs an extra front weight. Here the 1000 l Front Tank is a good solution to have extra weight and increase the spray capacity.

On hilly terrain and in slope areas or on smaller fields, a Front Tank combination is a perfect solution, as a good weight distribution and an excellent manoeuvrability are given. The tank is made in high impact polyethylene and has a liquid free level indicator on top of the tank, which can be seen from the driver’s seat. The linkage is made for a cat2 front linkage. 

Comfortable operation from the driver’s seat 
The liquid system of the Front Tank is remote controlled, so the operator can choose from the driver’s seat if he would like to empty the Front Tank or the main tank of the MASTER plus. An agitation kit takes care that the spray solution in the Front Tank is mixed well, a 12V driven robust stainless steel centrifugal pump is keeping the mixture homogeneous while the rear tank is emptied.
